Dr. Jacinta Ifeyinwa Ugwunweze is a highly experienced medical doctor and public health physician with over 16 years of expertise in clinical medicine, policy development, and project management. Her extensive background in managing large-scale health projects, including a World Bank-funded initiative where she served as the State Program Manager, positions her as a valuable asset to the Pilot Agrivoltaic Project in Nigeria.
With an MBBS obtained in 2008, membership in the West African College of Physicians since 2016, and an MSc in Public Health with a specialization in Health Systems Policy and Management in 2021, Dr. Ugwunweze brings a strong interdisciplinary perspective. Her skills in monitoring and evaluation, training facilitation, community engagement, and advocacy align seamlessly with the project’s goals of fostering food security and social development through innovative agrivoltaic solutions.
Her experience in coordinating international programs with local implementation, coupled with her focus on agriculture, nutrition, and water within the One Health framework, makes her uniquely positioned to address the interconnected challenges of energy, food security, and health. Dr. Ugwunweze’s expertise in project management and policy development will contribute significantly to the success of this pioneering initiative.
