Dr. Godwin Ejikeme Abonyi is a Public Health Veterinarian with a distinguished career spanning corporate, governmental, and academic sectors. With a robust background in agriculture and food security, he brings invaluable expertise to the Pilot Agrivoltaic Project in Nigeria.
Dr. Abonyi’s corporate experience includes his role as a Technical Sales Representative for Pfizer Animal Health Group, where he gained extensive knowledge in veterinary health and pharmaceutical practices. His public service career includes serving as a Special Adviser on Community and Environmental Health and later as Senior Special Assistant on Food and Environmental Security and Safety in Enugu State.
Additionally, he was elected Executive Chairman of Udenu Local Government Area, where he championed initiatives for sustainable community development. Currently, Dr. Abonyi leads Integrated Agricultural Projects, focusing on cassava production, processing, and livestock farming. He is also a part-time lecturer at the State University of Medical and Applied Sciences (SUMAS), Enugu State, contributing to the development of future leaders in agricultural and environmental sciences.
As a key member of the Pilot Agrivoltaic Project in Nigeria, Dr. Abonyi leverages his diverse experience to foster innovation at the nexus of agriculture, food security, and environmental sustainability.
